Blog adalah suatu web page atau homepage yang dikembangkan lebih lanjut melalui fasilitas database tertentu. Dengan demikian, pengguna atau pengelolanya dapat mengatur sajian halaman blog secara mudah dan cepat, tanpa konfigurasi atau perubahan web page secara keseluruhan.

Blog dapat dipahami sebagai sebuah tipe atau bentuk website yang biasanya disusun secara teratur dan kronologis, dengan susunan entri atau postingan paling baru pada pengaturan paling atas dari halaman pertama, dan selanjutnya berurutan ke entri atau posting sebelumnya. Blog terkadang ditulis atau di-update secara teratur. Sering kali sebuah blog ditulis dengan topik tertentu. Biasanya komunitas blog memiliki keterikatan yang kuat dan menjadikan blog sebagai tempat berinteraksi, berbagi saran dan ide, memperoleh teman, bahkan memperkenalkan bentuk usahanya kepada orang lain.

Menurut sejarah yang tercatat di dalam Wikipedia, istilah weblog diperkenalkan atau lebih tepatnya dipakai pertama kali oleh John Barger pada tahun 1997. Selanjutnya, istilah ini disempurnakan lagi oleh Peter Merholz di tahun 1999 yang menyebut istilah “we blog”menjadi “weblog”. Sekarang, weblog lebih dikenal dengan istilah yang lebih singkat, yaitu “blog”. Selanjutnya, istilah ini mengacu pada website diary online yang ditulis oleh siapa pun dan ditujukan secara terbuka untuk semua orang.

Dalam sejarahnya, salah satu pionir Weblog adalah Xanga yang pada tahun 1997 memiliki koleksi sekitar 100 weblog saja. Kemudian dalam perkembangannya, di tahun 2005 saja Xanga telah memiliki lebih dari 50 juta weblog yang terdaftar di tempatnya.

udh sebulan gak nge post. hbiss gue jg gk tau mau nge-post apaan. nah skrg gue mau nge-post crita memalukan. yg jeleknya hal memalukan itu terjadi pada GUE.

critany, di sore hari gue lg asik"ny nnton tv, hbis itu telepon rumah bunyi. gue angkat.

yg telpon: "Assalamualaikum Wr. Wb, bisa bicara dengan ibuny ini tante eriza."
yg gue denger tuh kayak gni:
"Assalamualaikum Wr. Wb, bisa bicara dengan ibu eriza?"

hbis itu gue jawab aja, " maaf, ini bukan rumahny ibu eriza". yg nelpon jawab "bisa bicara dgn ibuny, ini tante eriza" karena gue malu jdiny, telpon itu lnsung gue kasih ke mama ku, dn gue kabur nutupin muka pke bantal. gue maluuuuuuuuuuuuuu banget. mama ku ngakak, gue jg ngakak sekaligus maluu.

gue gak tau apa yg gue pikirin saat itu gue gak terlalu merhatiin atau mungkin gue hrus k THT mriksa telinga gue. sekian ceritany dan trim's:D

hallo blog, sejujurny ini yang kedua. solany sebelumnya ak jg bkin blog. tpi, gak keurus karena hal konyol. ak lupa passwordny -,-" *memalukan. Ak itu pelupa. tp trkadang lupany itu konyol. contohnya, wktu itu ak nyari iket rambutku. ke kolong meja, tmpat tidur, dan beberapa tmpat lainnya*tp msih di rumah. alhasil ak nemuin iket rambut itu di rambut saya*konyol banget kan? dibilang juga apa. udah ya lanjut kapan" lagi yaa:D
